Learning Commons K-7 Teacher-Librarian in School District 79 Cowichan Valley, British Columbia, Canada

I am a teacher-librarian with the Cowichan Valley School District. My goal for our library learning commons is to create a safe and inspiring retreat for students, teachers and parents.  A place where the stories reflect our students lives and our community and where our lessons inspire our students to succeed, think critically and inspire creatively.

Our Library: A 17,000 item collection that is forever being weeded and refreshed

Our Makerspace: 3D printer – when it’s working ;), robotics, lego wall, Keva Planks, sewing and embroidery and pop pom making galore, hot glue, plasticine and tons of creativity!
